WELCOME TO RENDON AND SON LAWN SERVICE
Lawn Care San Antonio Can Count On, From a Family That's Been Doing This for Decades
We are John Rendon, his father, and his brother: a three-person family team that takes every job personally. Our great-grandfather started in this trade at age 17 and worked until he was 73, building 56 years of hands-on knowledge in San Antonio's soil, grass types, and climate. That same work ethic and attention to detail carries through in everything we do today. When you hire Rendon and Son, you are not calling a national franchise or a random crew. You are calling neighbors who care about the condition of your property as much as you do.

Family-Owned Landscaping in San Antonio
The Rendon Family: Your Neighbors, Your Lawn Care Team
John Rendon leads our operations alongside his father and brother. Every job is personally executed or directly supervised by a member of the Rendon family. That means when you call us, you are not dealing with seasonal subcontractors or a rotating crew. You are working with the same people, job after job, who put their family name behind the quality of every yard they service in Northwest San Antonio and the surrounding Bexar County area.

OF FAMILY CRAFTSMANSHIP

The Rendon and Son Difference
Professional Lawn Service That Goes Above and Beyond
We measure our standard against the most common complaints homeowners have about lawn care companies in San Antonio. Every feature of our service was built to address a real problem that real clients have experienced with other providers.
Clipping-Free Finish
We bag all grass clippings and blow every hardscape clean after each visit. Your driveway, walkways, and garden beds will look neat when we leave, not like someone just ran a mower through and walked away.
Photo Verification Every Visit
We text before-and-after photos directly to you after every job. If you are at work when we come by, you will still know exactly what was done and how your yard looks. No guessing, no surprises.
Grass-Specific Chemical Knowledge
St. Augustine and Bermuda grass require different herbicides and fertilizers. Using the wrong product can kill your turf. Our team knows the difference and applies only the correct treatments for your specific grass type, protecting your lawn rather than damaging it.
Reliable Scheduling
We show up when we say we will. Our field operations run Tuesday through Saturday, and we take scheduling seriously. Missed appointments and last-minute cancellations are not how we do business.
Family Accountability
Every job is handled by John, his father, or his brother. The Rendon family name is attached to every yard we maintain, which means we hold ourselves to a higher standard than any outside crew would.
Honest, Fair Pricing
Our standard lawn care package starts at $65. We provide transparent estimates based on photos or video of your property, and we will always give you an honest opinion about what your yard actually needs, with no pressure to add services you do not require.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common Questions About Our Lawn Care Services in San Antonio
How do I know the work was completed if I'm not home during service?
We send before-and-after photos directly to your phone via text after every single job. This is a standard part of our service, not an add-on. We put this process in place specifically because most of our clients in Alamo Ranch and Helotes are at work during the day. You will have a clear visual record of what your yard looked like before we arrived and exactly how it looks when we leave, so there is never any guessing or need to follow up.What is included in the $65 lawn care package?
The standard package includes professional mowing, edging, targeted lawn weeding, and a complete blowdown of all hardscapes including your driveway and walkways. All grass clippings are bagged and removed from your property. We do not leave clippings in your beds or on your sidewalk. The $65 starting price applies to standard residential lots, and pricing scales based on the total square footage of your property. We provide transparent estimates using photos or video of your yard before any work begins.Do you service commercial properties as well as residential homes?
Yes, we service both. Our residential work is concentrated in HOA communities and neighborhoods in Alamo Ranch, Helotes, and Northwest San Antonio. We also take on commercial maintenance contracts that require consistent, high-visibility curb appeal. If you manage a commercial property or an HOA common area and want to discuss a recurring maintenance schedule, reach out and we can put together a quote based on your specific needs. Will your weed killer damage my specific type of grass?
No, and this is something we take seriously. St. Augustine and Bermuda grass have different chemical sensitivities, and applying the wrong herbicide to either one can kill the turf entirely. Our team knows the correct products for each grass type and will never apply a treatment that is not suited to your lawn. Before we use any chemical on your property, we identify your grass variety and select the appropriate product. This is one of the key differences between a professional lawn service and an inexperienced crew.Do you do permanent masonry or cement work for garden beds?
No. Our garden bed installations use modular pavers and stackable garden wall materials, the kind you would find at Lowe's. These are non-permanent, gravity-fed installations that can be adjusted or expanded over time. We do not perform mortared masonry, poured cement work, or any structural hardscaping that requires permanent bonding. If you need a clean, defined garden bed with quality materials and a professional finish, we can help. If you need structural masonry, we will be upfront that it falls outside our scope. What days do you operate, and how far in advance should I book?
Our field crews operate Tuesday through Saturday. Sundays and Mondays are reserved for consultations, scheduling, and administrative work. For new clients, we recommend reaching out a few days in advance so we can fit you into the schedule and gather photos or video of your property for an accurate estimate. We keep our scheduling organized so we can show up on time, every time, which is one of the most common complaints we hear from people who have dealt with other lawn care companies in San Antonio. How long has your family been in the lawn care business?
Our great-grandfather started doing lawn work at age 17 and continued until he was 73, building more than 56 years of experience in the trade right here in San Antonio. That knowledge of local soil, grass types, and climate conditions has been passed down through the family and is the foundation of how we operate today. While Rendon and Son was formally established as a business in 2024, the expertise behind it is anything but new. You are hiring a team with generational roots in this work, not a startup still learning on the job.How do you determine the price for my lawn before the first visit?
We use a remote quoting process where you send us photos or a short video of your property. This lets us give you a firm, accurate estimate without requiring an in-person visit before the first service. Pricing for the standard mowing package starts at $65 and scales based on your lot size. For additional services like sod installation, garden bed work, or seasonal cleanup, we will review your property details and provide a clear quote. We do not believe in vague pricing or surprise charges after the job is done.
